Ethics - Codes & Rules of Professional Conduct, Case Discussions

RSVP required.  Attendees are offered 1 hour for Continuing Education.  The intent of this event is to satisfy the requirement of ethics applicable to the practice of professional engineering for the PE license in Indiana.

Structural Engineering Response to 9/11

Ed DePaola, CEO of Severud and co-author of the report, World Trade Center Building Performance Study, published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency

Wednesday March 4, 2026 at 6 PM

Room 185, Science Building, Purdue Fort Wayne campus (map)

Science Building is on west side of campus, parking in Lot P-6 along St. Joe River is closer than parking garages. 

 

Mr. DePaola is an OPAL Leadership Award recipient from ASCE and a fellow of  Structural Engineering Institute.  Branch funds are planned for providing pizza.

Similar presentation occurring on campus at Notre Dame the day before and at ISEA Conference the day after the Northeast Branch event.

 

 

 

Komets Hockey, Komets vs Indianapolis Ice

Game scheduled for 5 PM on Sunday March 15, 2026.

The Northeast Branch has on hold 30 tickets in the Fan Zone of section 205.  RSVP needed by 5 PM Friday February 27, 2026, e-mail asce.in.ne@gmail.com.  Ticket price will be $19 with at least 12 tickets for the group.  Tickets can be provided either electronic/email or printed/hardcopy.  Tickets available to ASCE members, friends/spouse/family members/friends/others.  Consideration for Branch funds to subsidize tickets based on interest & response.

 

Response from the first email resulted in interest for 10 tickets so at least two more tickets needed for group rate.  There is a group planning to attend from Trine University so if you are a current student or alumni or live in the area, connect with others at Trine ASCE to be a part of the group.
